busy busy

This is a picture of my boyfriends fire (he has a real one) which I thought Id share cos its so pretty! I love sitting in front of it in winter its so warm and comfy.

Anyway its been a couple of days since I posted so I thought Id do a quick one with what Ive been up to. Busy times! And it looks like its gonna be that way for a while.

My boyfriend came up for a couple of days, so that was good. On wednesday we went to Leeds' new 'Red Hot World Buffet and Bar' and then to see Despicable Me. Seriously, if you live near Leeds (or theres one near you) go!! Seriously it has the best food ever, including Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Mexican and Japanese. Not forgetting the best Creme Brulee in the dessert section, which I totally did not have 3 portions of (they were small ok!) Its now my new favourite place.

On Saturday I spent the night in Sheffield with my friend who I've not seen since we went our separate ways to uni. It was so good to see her, I've not really realised how much I miss everyone, but now I'm looking forward to having her come to Leeds with some other friends.

Thats about it really, got an essay to do tomorrow so ill do another post after that.
Happy halloween! Im off to watch a film (scary or not? hmm).

Notice a trend going on? I'm seriously loving Urban Outfitters at the minute. I loveee the colours of both the cardi and the playsuit, although with my current bank balance neither are happening! And how cute is this book? I was having a rummage through it in the Leeds shop the other day and theres so many thing in it I wanna make. Think this is the only thing off this list I'll actually be buying!

Theres something about this outfit thats so simple, yet works really well. For me, outfits SHOULD be simple, too much going on and it can look like you've tried too hard. I really love layering as I think it gives that little bit extra to an outfit, and Im loving boots, theyre the perfect shoes for winter, comfy yet waterproof.

What do you guys think? Is this something you'd wear?

* So I was planning on doing one of my outfit posts, but ive only gone and left my camera at my boyfriends! He's coming to visit soon though so as soon as I've got it safe and sound Ill do one.
*Today I got a new dress in the Urban Outfitters sale! It was the first time Ive been into the Leeds one properly as im so attatched to the Manchester one, but im so glad I did as I got a bargain (providing I dont try it on later, decide I dont like it and take it back haha!)
*For tea I made gnocchi with light philladelphia. Im trying to eat a bit healthier now im fending for myself at uni, but need simple healthy things to cook. I dont think this is too bad health wise, and was lovelyy, Ill defo be making it again.

I hope that people are enjoying what Ive done so far, any comments/advice on how im doing would be good!



all sorts of creatures

Ive been wanting to take a trip to the zoo for aaaages now, so today me and the boyfriend ventured to South Lakes Wildlife Park, in Cumria, where we spent the day feeding giraffes, wallabies and emu's, amoungst others! I had a really lovely day, and though Id share some pictures.

1. Pretty rainbow through the window on the way there.
2. Baby monkey, check out the tongue haha
3. Baby tiger cub called Kadi, only a month old!
4. Otters, so cute haha were proper playing up for attention.
5. The lemurs all lined up so people could feed them grapes.

Ive got loads more good ones but didnt wanna bore people. Had such a good day and now I really want a wallaby!

My names Dan, Im 19 and from Oldham, a town on the outskirts of Manchester. Im currently studying Public Relations and Leeds Metropolitan Uni, and Im loving it!

Ive been reading blogs for a while now ( im not gonna name my favourites - yet!!) and have been decided about getting one for ages. In the end I decided to just go for it! I think blogs are a great way to let out all the creative buzz flowing around inside and share it with other people.

In my blog Im gonna do the obvious, like outfit posts and such, but its also gonna just include my general musings and opinions.

I really hope that people will find what I have to say interesting. Bare with me though, im new at this and not sure how its gonna go!
