An eventful week

Today I returned to Leeds after an extremely busy week back home. It was so good to get back, and to have things to do for a change! Stupidly I forgot to take my camera, so unfortunately I have no pictures of my escapades. Here's what I got up to anyway!

1. On Wednesday evening I went round to my next door neighbours for food and drinks. We've grown really close to them over the years, and as my friend was back from Uni for only 3 days it was great to catch up!

2. Friday was spent at a local spa with my mum, which was so lovely! It seems like it's been ages since we spent any proper time together, so I loved this chance. The day consisted of a gym workout followed by a facial, lunch and lots of relaxing in the pool, jacuzzi and various saunas!

3. Saturday night was spent celebrating my boyfriends parents silver wedding anniversary with a big party at his house. Our families have been friends since school so it was basically a great night with all my family. his family and our friends. We had a mexican buffet, followed by some amazing cakes, and cupcakes made by myself and Tom that were pretty damn good if I do say so myself!

4. Finally, last night I had a takeaway night with Tom, my cousin (who is also one of Tom's best friends!) and his girlfriend. It was really fun to just have some good laughs and relax for the night.

And that's it! I really wish I had some pictures to show, as it really was a great week.

a trip to primark

shoes - £1 each, belts £2 each, top £6

Yesterday I had a bit of a spree (for me anyway!) in Primark. All these shoes were in the sale, and even though they're not really expensive to begin with, £1 is a complete bargain! I've also been wanting some new belts for a while, I seem to wear the same one over and over. Finally I decided to get a top as I've not bought anything in ages. There was some really nice stuff in and I could have easily bought so much more.

It's been a while

How is everyone? I've been such a bad blogger, and I'm going to blame this largely on the fact I've had to go without a laptop charger for ages! My other one died on me completely out of the blue, it was just making a weird noise and not charging at all. So annoying, especially as up until 2 weeks ago I was living in halls without a tv and on my own as everyone else had moved out.

This bring me onto my next point. I've finally moved into my new flat! I love it so much. It's only small, but it's perfect for what I need. Now I can't wait until Tom manages to find a job over here and can quit the one he's at now and move in permanently.

Other than that I've not been up to much. I'm still volunteering at a local charity, which is really great. I've also been hitting the gym hard ready for holiday! I'm off to Newquay with my family in August, and Tenerife with Tom in September, very excited!
