If there's one thing my life has been lacking lately, it's brunch. Seriously, I can't remember the last time I went out for brunch, and that is very unlike me. I have my favourite places to go in Leeds, sure, but something fresh and different was definitely needed to reignite my favourite meal.
Enter, Ox Club. Situated in Headrow House, the latest offering from the guys behind Belgrave, their brunch menu is out of this world. With a mixture of more unusual dishes alongside more classic options, there is something for everyone. In terms of setting, they've got it spot on with an open kitchen and stripped back decor, and with dishes from £6-£10 for top quality food it's definitely going to a highlight of the Leeds food scene in 2016.
We opted for:
Flat iron steak and cheddar eggs
Perfectly cooked steak served in the best way - those eggs were divine! Creamy and with just the right amount of cheese. The home fries rounded the dish of perfectly, and overall it was a great choice for a savoury dish.
Served with honeycomb, blueberries, creme fraiche and wildflower honey, I think these might just be the best pancakes I've ever had. Just looking at the picture is making me want them all over again! Thick, fluffy and the best way to end any brunch.
With other dishes on the menu including Korean fried chicken and smoked avocado, I'm already wondering when I can fit in another visits...
